Lead in Children’s Service and Sedation Assistant
Joanne started her career 34 years ago, working in a hospital before moving to Saint Francis Hospice so that she could fulfil her passion of caring for people, by delivering palliative care in patient’s homes.
She moved into dentistry 16 years ago, where she still currently works as a sedation recovery nurse in a referral centre, where they treat both adults and children regularly.
Joanne has a great understanding of children’s needs; she enjoys spending time with them and talking to them on a level that they understand.
Joanne has attended the SAAD conference annually since 2007 and has a record of excellence in sedation treatments. She keeps up to date on all of her CPD including Safeguarding, as well as her PILS and ILS. In her spare time, Joanne loves nothing more than spending it with her 4 grandchildren.
